I didn’t get much read this week.  Too much Christmas shopping, Christmas card writing, and of course work gets in the way.

WHAT I WATCHED

I loved the book Dumplin‘ and have been eagerly waiting for this movie to come out on NetFlix.  It was really good and I plan to have my daughter watch it since she is not much of a reader.  Both the book and the movie do an excellent job of talking about positive body image and accepting not only others for who they are but also accepting yourself.

CURRENTLY READING

Enjoying this murder mystery.

Still trying to listen to this but I have been listening to Christmas music in the car instead.

WHAT I READ THIS WEEK

I had such high hopes for this book!  I like both authors so I figured  double the goodness right? Nope.  The story had no plot, rambled on, and was plain boring.  The characters especially Arthur, were annoying. He was constantly picking a fight with Ben.  I don’t even know why Ben put up with him for 5oo pages.   The absolutely worst part of this book were the references to Harry Potter and Hamilton on EVERY. SINGLE. PAGE.  Every metaphor or synonym was compared to Harry Potter. It was so distracting.  This book had such potential but unfortunately, fell short.
