What do you like/dislike about self-published works?

My Answer

Many times the writing is bad but I applaud them for following their dream of becoming an author.

The new Spider-man movie is playing in my town’s one-screen theatre. I’ll doubt if I’ll have time to go see it. I’ll probably just wait for it to come out on Blu-ray.

I’ve been meaning to read The House of Seven Gables but I haven’t got around to it.

I have nothing against self-publishing authors. I just wish the majority of them would edit their books better.

I’ve been in the House of the Seven Gables, twice. I had read the book about ten years before we visited the first time and I remembered some of the story, but not a lot. I always meant to read it. I might try and re-read it next year, but it’s one of those books that doesn’t seem to ride very high on people’s re-read lists, so we shall see. I’ll be looking out for what you think! 📚

When I first started blogging there were a lot of good self-pub books, but then too many people got it in their heads it was a quick way to make money and now there seems to be more garbage out there than good; which is a shame because it gives the whole group a bad name. 😑

Have a wonderful new week. 😘

  3. Molly's Book Nook says:

I feel like its been a common theme of people enjoying Spider Man more than expected haha. I still haven’t seen it but I don’t have a huge interest to – which is weird because I usually see all Marvel movies. Just a little burnt out on Marvel I suppose. Hope you have a great week!
