If you are familiar with my blog then you know that from time to time I foster shelter dogs.  This beautiful boy is Rover.  He was a stray and brought to the rescue I volunteer at.  He is the sweetest goofball of a dog I have ever met.  Like most of the dogs I have fostered, I would love to keep him but I know the perfect family is out there waiting for him.

I have been watching The Fall on Netflix.  I am in the middle of the second season out of three seasons.  Love both of these actors!

I am actually listening to this as an audiobook.

This was an intriguing story of two women  who own the same piano at two different points in history for two very different reasons.  The stories eventually come full circle when a mysterious man wants to rent the piano for a photo shoot in different parts of Death Valley.  This was a beautifully written story of forgiveness and letting go of the things that weigh us down, even a piano.

Stacking the Shelves is put on by Tynga at Tynga’s Reviews. Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves. Here are the books I have added to my TBR list this week.

I received this from NetGalley.

A librarian’s discovery of a mysterious book sparks the journey of a lifetime in the delightful new novel from the international bestselling author of The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper .

La La in the Library gave me a heads up on this one.  It was free for Kindle on Amazon at the time of this posting.

This book is a hilarious and heartbreaking look into the life of a remarkable family that fell into canine rescue completely by accident, but now lives to protect and care for their dogs absolutely on purpose. An awe-inspiring read for anyone who loves dogs!

The Book Blogger Hop is put on by The Coffee Addicted Writer . There is a weekly prompt featuring a book related question.

This weeks prompt is…

What is your first book of the year?

I grabbed the same freebie and I should have thought to mention it to you as well. I will have to remember that in the future. I LOVE Rover and would take him in a minute. It’s so cool that you foster. We are under a city wide boil water advisory as well as a snowstorm and our shelter needs water so we’re going to try to get them some tomorrow somehow. Have a wonderful weekend.

Rover is adorable! Fostering dogs sounds like it can be so rewarding but also kind of heartbreaking because I’m sure you’d want to give them all a home. At least I would. We don’t have pets at my house but my sister and I took in a stray at my grandma’s house. We named him Dante.

The Weight of a Piano has been floating around and I love the cover and it sounds so interesting. I hope you have a wonderful week!
