Arthur is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it.

Ben thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things.

But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them?

WHAT I READ THIS WEEK

pieces of her

This book was FANTASTIC!  It was fast-paced, suspenseful, well-written, and I could not put it down!!!! If you like action packed thrillers, read this book!

I have heard a lot of great things about his musical so I decided to read the Screenplay.  There is also a novel based on the musical but I decided to read the screenplay instead.  I grabbed the ebook off of Hoopla as well as the soundtrack which was nice because during the singing parts of the screenplay, I could actually listen the the songs.  I have mixed feelings about this musical.  Most of the plot is based on a lie and not sure I agree with the ending but overall, a great musical with a great message about acceptance and noticing those around you.

My hubby bought this book for me for my birthday!

In this intimate, haunting literary memoir read by the author, an American icon tells her story for the first time, and in her own gorgeous words – about a challenging and lonely childhood, the craft that helped her find her voice, and a powerful emotional legacy that shaped her journey as a daughter and a mother.

This book of two short stories was only available in the UK so I ordered it from Better World Books.

Midnights is the story of Noel and Mags, who meet at the same New Year’s Eve party every year and fall a little more in love each time . . .

Kindred Spirits is about Elena, who decides to queue to see the new Star Wars movie and meets Gabe, a fellow fan.

Grabbed this from the library.

Could ten days at a health resort really change you forever? In Liane Moriarty’s latest page-turner, nine perfect strangers are about to find out…

Nine people gather at a remote health resort. Some are here to lose weight, some are here to get a reboot on life, some are here for reasons they can’t even admit to themselves. Amidst all of the luxury and pampering, the mindfulness and meditation, they know these ten days might involve some real work. But none of them could imagine just how challenging the next ten days are going to be.

The Book Blogger Hop is put on by The Coffee Addicted Writer . There is a weekly prompt featuring a book related question.

THIS WEEK’S QUESTION IS SUBMITTED BY Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer

This weeks prompt is…

If you could travel back in time and purchase the first printing of any specific novel, what book would it be?

My answer…

It is a toss up between The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling.

Ooh a first edition Hobbit would be pretty awesome. 🙂 And Almost Midnight looks fun. I’ve read Midnights before (it was in an anthology and it was cute as I recall) and I’d love to read Kindred Spirits- that one sounds fun too.

Also Pieces of Her sounds fantastic! I love a good thriller.

I want to read that Rowell book. I never got into the Outlander series for some reason but I’m sure it’s great – I’ve heard lots of good things. We finished watching The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Friday night. I really liked it but it’s DARK! Hope you have a great week.
