AND LAST, BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, IN HONOR OF MY SENIOR RESCUE DOG, TRIXIE, WHO PASSED AWAY IN JUNE, I WILL BE DONATING A DOLLAR FOR EVERY DOG BOOK WE ALL READ (UP TO $100) TO THE RESCUE, AHEINZ57,  I ADOPTED HER FROM.

La La is having a $15 gift card giveaway (international).  To enter, do one or more of these Dog Tags.  You can do both of these tags if you wish, and last year’s general tag (if you didn’t do it last year), or any combination of the three for entries into the $15 international gift card giveaway linky next month. Have fun! Click HERE for the questions.

This is the first book I am going to read for the challenge.  I have been wanting to read this book for a long time.  This author rescues senior dogs and usually has between 15 and 20 dogs in his home at one time.  His dog, Tara, is the one that inspired him to start fostering senior dogs so I am interested in how it all began.  Rosenfelt also wrote the book, Dogtripping, which tells the true story of how he and 11 others transported 25 dogs in 3 RVs across the country.  He is also the author of a mystery series that features dogs in the story.  So if you are still looking for dog books to read for the Dog Days of Summer Reading challenge, check out those books.

Need more dog book ideas? Here are some of my favorites.
