IT’S MONDAY! WHAT ARE YOU READING? IS A PLACE TO MEET UP AND SHARE WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN, ARE, AND ABOUT TO BE READING OVER THE WEEK. IT IS HOSTED BY KATHRYN AT THE BOOK DATE.
WHAT I READ LAST
Both were excellent books! Click HERE for a review of Darius The Great is Not Okay. A review of 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle still to come.
CURRENTLY READING
“This is a compassionate look at poverty, hard choices, and defending one’s right to be treated humanely. A very fine first novel, written with a deft hand.” –Newbery Medal Winner, Karen Hesse
WHAT I AM READING NEXT
I am co-hosting the 2nd annual Dog Days of Summer Reading challenge with La La in the Library starting August 1st. Check out the details to join us HERE! Basically you read as many books about dogs as you want in August. Here is the first one I am going to read.
Glad to hear the 7 1/2 Deaths turned out well!
Happy Monday (is there such a thing)????

I started Lessons from Tara once and never finished. I really liked it so maybe I need to pick it back up. I think I grabbed it when I needed something quick to read during a meeting and it was in my office and handy – don’t ask 🙂 I think you’ll enjoy it.

I enjoyed his book Dogtripping and his humor within it. I am hoping this one is similar.

7 1/2 Deaths looks really good. I keep getting hung up on how similar the full title is to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. How does that happen?! I’ll check back for your full review. Have a great week!

To make matters more confusing I think the UK title is The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. There isn’t the 1/2 in the title.

Nice looking books. The dog one is new to me – but not surprising since I don’t read nonfiction. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

I’m always scared to read animal book in case it’s like Marley and Me, if you know what I mean!
Have a great week!
