Tell Me Tuesday is a weekly blog post hosted by La La in the Library. It is where we discuss what we have been reading and what we look forward to reading. What have you been reading? Tell Us!
What I Read Last
This was a great read with a wonderfully quirky character. If you like The Man Called Ove, you might like this book. The humor and writing style were similar. Eleanor lives alone and is considered weird by her coworkers and peers. But that doesn’t stop her from being herself which is one of my favorite things about this book. Eleanor has a tragic past and after 20 years has to start dealing with it. This is what drove the story for me. I wanted to know what had happened in her past. She has a horrible scar on her face and her mom calls her from prison every Wednesday. Along the way, Eleanor meets some wonderful people that help her in this journey of discovery and forgiveness.
What I Am Reading Now

After a close friend died of cancer, middle-aged, overweight, acrophobic newspaperman Tom Ryan decided to pay tribute to her in a most unorthodox manner. Ryan and his friend, miniature schnauzer Atticus M. Finch, would attempt to climb all forty-eight of New Hampshire’s four-thousand-foot peaks twice in one winter while raising money for charity. It was an adventure of a lifetime, leading them across hundreds of miles and deep into an enchanting but dangerous winter wonderland. At the heart of the amazing journey was the extraordinary relationship they shared, one that blurred the line between man and dog.
What I Am Reading Next (Maybe)
The reason I say maybe is that I thought this was a new release, however, it is just a new edition with a new cover. It was first published in 2009. I thought the premise sounded good and I enjoyed Me Before You by this author so I might give it a try.

When Sarah’s grandfather gives her a beautiful horse named Boo–hoping that one day she’ll follow in his footsteps to join an elite French riding school, away from their gritty London neighborhood–she quietly trains in city’s parks and alleys. But then her grandfather falls ill, and Sarah must juggle horsemanship with school and hospital visits.
Natasha, a young lawyer, is reeling after her failed marriage: her professional judgment is being questioned, her new boyfriend is a let-down, and she’s forced to share her house with her charismatic ex-husband. Yet when the willful fourteen-year-old Sarah lands in her path, Natasha decides to take the girl under her wing.
But Sarah is keeping a secret–a secret that will change the lives of everyone involved forever.
PUPDATE
Dash and Tank are still doing well. I haven’t heard anything new about their adoption status. They continue to thrive and I think they are happy here. They play with my two dogs now and play with toys. When they first got here, they were so scared and not used to anyone paying attention to them. If I could just keep them from peeing in the house!!! As you can see, they have to where belly band diapers. They love looking out side and watching cars and people go by.
Do they squat pee or lift their legs?
Eleanor Oliphant sounds wonderful. I think I already added it to Goodreads, but I am going to make sure. I see you are getting your dog book fix! Thanks for TMTing. I am doing this so late today. Work was a strange thing today. Ugh. 🙂

Lift their legs. They are marking. I let them outside 6 times a day and they go but they STILL pee inside!

I wonder if it will take them longer to not feel the need to mark because they are older?

Aw, cute dogs. LOL about the diapers but hey it’s better than them going in the house, right? 🙂
