Wow! 2016 was a great year of reading. If you missed my post on my Top 10 reads, check it out HERE! Also in 2016, I went to several book conventions and met some of my favorite authors.
I was able to meet my Goodreads Challenge of reading 100 books in 2016. It would have been more but those Outlander books are looooooong.
Now that 2016 is over, it is time to think about reading challenges for 2017. Because I want to re-read some of my favorite books ( Harry Potter) and continue the Outlander series, I am going to lower my Goodreads challenge for 2017 to 75 books.
Another challenge that I think looks fun is the Uppercase Reading Challenge. It consists of 12 different books so if I do one a month, I think it will be doable.
I have also seen this Reading Challenge floating around the blogiverse. I might give this one a try too. I may be able to double up on some of these. For example, most of the Harry Potter books are over 400 pages, is a banned book, written by a female writer, etc.
I am also going to join the Newbery Award Challenge with La La. There is no time limit which is good because there are 95 books on the list and I have probably only read five.

What are some of your reading goals for 2017? I would love to know!

So I don’t even think I finished 3 books last year which is super disappointing compared to how I normally do. But this year I’m going to shoot for 100. And I’m rereading the HP series this year too. Last time I did was in 2013 I believe. What is the first book you’ll read this year? I’d be willing to bed you’ve already starred.

I think I am going to start A Dog’s Purpose later today. It is a HP weekend on Freeform so I am not getting much reading done 😊❤️⚡️

Enjoy the New Year…and your challenges.
I like how Goodreads shows us what we’ve read. From your list, I see The Princess Diarist, from the lovely Carrie Fisher…which I ordered a few days ago. I tend to order hardcover books from my favorite celebrity authors.
I also want to read Every Exquisite Thing. Thanks for sharing…and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

Happy New Year! Here’s to a great 2017! I like the look of your challenges, especially that Better World books one. Good luck with all your challenges this year. I’m doing three which is a step up from last year (still feels weird to say that) when I did none! So we’ll see how this goes. 🙂
Have a great rest of the weekend.

That’s an awesome graphic! How many books is that? I see a lot of books that I also read in 2016. Best of luck with the reading challenges in 2017. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

That’s the secret to doing more than one challenge, overlapping books! Ha! You will do great. 🙂 You should get extra book credit for Outlander books. Aren’t the Game Of Thrones books uber long, too?

Yes the GoT books are very long but I won’t re-read those this year. Hopefully there will be a new GoT book this year. Fingers crossed!
